Mississippi Delta Landscapes
Cotton is king and though the harvest is complete, remnants can be found everywhere reminding you of a snow covered land. As you left, right, forward, and behind there is nothing but farmland. Be it soy bean, cotton, or catfish, that's the industry in the Mississippi Delta. The early morning is quiet but you look far across the land and you see farmers hard at work. As you venture off the beaten path you can stumble upon a "colored" graveyard that is buried between the plowed fields barely hanging on to life and somehow waiting until its completely forgotten about before it too gets absorbed into the land. Like many small towns across America, crossing the railroad tracks takes you into another world, especially if you're from the other side.
